DELHI-MANALI- SHIMLA-RISHIKESH-HARIDWAR Holiday Package (7 Days & 6 Nights)








Day 1:   Start from delhi

Reach raiway station depart for Manali. You will have a break on the way for Dinner. After Dinner relax in your Luxury tempo travller. You can watch the videos as available in the Coaches. Overnight journey .


Day 2:Arrive Manali

Manali is an important hill station of northern India and is the destination of thousands of tourists every year. Its cool atmosphere provides a perfect haven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. Besides offering quite a few places for sightseeing, Manali is also famous for adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. En- route visit Hanogi Mata Temple. Overnight stay at hotel in Manali.


Day 03: Manali TRACKING TO BIJLI MAHADEV  

Enjoy the morning breakfast at the camp and later get ready for an trakking to visit BIJLI MAHADEV treaking is outstandingly beautiful and is an ideal spot to view the majestic snow covered Himalayas, serene natural surroundings, pristine lake and fairy white snow round the year. 
Return back to the hotel on time for dinner and overnight stay


Day 04: Manali - Rohtang Pass - Manali [Closed on Tuesday]
Rohtang Pass Tour

Today full day excursion visiting Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Rohtang Pass (Upto Snow Line in case Rohtang is closed due to snow fall. Come back to Manali Later in evening half day tour of Manali visiting newly constructed Buddhist Monastery. Hadimba Devi temple-It is small temple situated in the dense forest is very interesting. Hadimba is said to be the wife of Bhima from the epic of Mahabharata. Vashisht, it is an extremely picturesque little place clinging to the steep hill side. On the way up to the village you come upon the Vashisht hot baths where a natural sulphar spring is piped into a modern bath -house. Overnight sat at the hotel.



Day 05:  Manali to Shimla

 Morning, after breakfast proceeds to your next destination ShimlaShimla, also known as “Queen Of Hills”.  It will take you 06-07 hrs. To reach Shimla. Evening arrive Shimla and transfer to Hotel for check in, rest free for leisure and independent.

DAY 6:Shimla to Rishikesh

 Morning,After breakfast check out in Hotel, local sideseen in SHIMLA.  The queen of Hills†, capital city of Himachal Pradesh is a popular tourist destination in India. The britishers discovered it in 1819. They used to call shimla their tiny bit of England. Shimla is the largest hill station and erstwhile (Summer Capital of British in India).. Moving through snow covered mountains, enchanting greenery and gulp of fresh air of shimla, one can feel the rhythmic flow of silence filling their hearts.. 

DAY 7 

Rishikesh Tour

Rishikesh is a small city surrounded by Rajaji National Park on 3 sides in the Uttarkhand state of India. Rishikesh is famous for yoga - meditaiton, pilgrimage and adventure. Rishikesh is also famous as the world capital of yoga and meditation. Positioned on the banks of River Ganges, Rishikesh is also the gateway to the Himalayas and offers massive natural beauty and majesty. This really spiritual town has many famous ashrams placed against the beautiful backdrop of the Shivalik Range of the Himalayas. There is a well-liked legend linked with the name of the town that states that when Rishi Raibhya did penance, lord vishnu appeared before him as Rishikesh (God of Senses) and hence it got its name. On one hand Rishikesh is a perfect destination for those looking to delve into their spiritual side in the peaceful surroundings, there also young people who visit here to enjoy the adveturous side of rishikesh for rafting in river ganga and for other adventure actvities. Rishikesh is just 225 kms far from Delhi. Rishikesh is beautiful city and became widely popular outside india since "The Beatles" visited here in 1960s. In Rishikesh you can visit Ashrams. Temples, Ghats. You can also do Yoga, Meditation, rafting, bungy jumping, hiking in rishikesh.

Places to Visit In Rishikesh : Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Nilkantha Mahadev, Parmarth Niketan, Gita Bhawan, Vashistha Cave, Kunjapuri Temple.
Day 08:  Rishikesh to Delhi via Haridwar (240 kms / 06 to 07 hrs drive)


                                                                                                                                                                                                    Early morning after breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to railway station for your train to Haridwar (Shatabdi Express 06:50 hrs). Meet our representative at arrival in Haridwar (11:30 hrs). (Later enjoy in Haridwar sightseeing after arrival. Haridwar is the place where people from across the India visit for pilgrimage and to take a holy dip into the holy river Ganges. Haridwar is an ancient city and it is one of the most sacred cities in India. The diverse nature of the Hindu religion has attracted foreign visitors from all around the world. Here you can closely experience India's complex culture and various Hindu rituals. Haridwar is also one of the four cities where Kumbh Mela is organized. Visit Mansa Devi temple by cable car. After lunch visit Daksh Temple. Later visit Har Ki Pouri (Ganga Ghat) for famous Ganga Aarti, and continue your drive to Rishikesh. Check in to the hotel at arrival.  Chandigarh - Manali


Pick up from Airport / Railway station from chandigarh & proceed to manali. Overnight stay in Manali.

 Manali Local 

After a delectable breakfast our representative will pick you from your hotel for full day city tour. Full day includes HADIMBA TEMPLE, an ancient temple where Hadimba was supposed to live with her brother Hadimb, CLUB HOUSE which offers popular indoor games such as Carrom, Table tennis and Skating and River Crossing on Beas River which can be done by ropeway, VAN VIHAR is a garden located on Mall Road and has a pond for boating surrounding by tall deodar trees, TIBETAN MONASTERIES as many people from Tibetan origin have settled here. These monasteries are known for their handicrafts, especially paintings and carpets, VASHIST HOT WATER SPRINGS which is famous for its natural hot sulphur springs and temple which is dedicated to Sage Vashist and MANALI MALL ROAD-- 

Manali - Jispa

Pick up Manali Hotel and drive to Jispa over the Rohtang-la pass (13,398 ft) Reach Keylong (05 HRS.). Lunch at restaurant and continue driving towards Jispa. On arrival check-in and overnight at Hotel.

Jispa - Leh

Leave early morning and drive through Lachungla Pass 5065 Mtrs rugged in the middle of mountains. At lunch time we stop at Pang. From here there are chances to see tiny colonies of Marmots on the Morea plains a streatch of 45 Kms. Finally we reach the second highest road TANGLANGLA PASS 5350 Mtrs. Finally we reach Leh in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Leh - Nubra

Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Arrive Nubra and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (On Own). Later if time permits visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries and check in at Deluxe Camp. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the camp.

khardungla pass: The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages. 
DESKIT village: Deskit is the main village of headquarter of Nubra valley, which has a small market consisting of a row of shops and about 500 years old Gompa on the hilltop. Spectacular view of the valley can be seen form the monastery.

DESKIT GOMPA:   Deskit Gompa was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD during the reign of King Dragspa. About 100 monks are residing in the Gompa, which is a branch of Thikse Monastery. The monastic festival called Gustor takes place on 20th and 21st days of the 12th month of Tibetan calendar.
hundar village: Hundar is a beautiful village to stay with lot of trees and you will really enjoy your stay at Hundar. It has a small monastery and ruined fort above the village. The walk or Camel Safari (Double Hump bacterian camels) from Hundar to Deskit, through sand dunes for two hours is wonderful (on own).

Nubra/Pangong

Morning after Breakfast proceed for Pangong. After reach check-in at camp. Evening relax, Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

THE PANGONG LAKE : This route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thikse, and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Sakti. The Ladakh range is crossed by the Chang-la (18,000 feet / 5,475 M) which despite its great elevation is one of the easier passes, remaining open for much of the year even in winter, apart from periods of actual snowfall. Tangse, just beyond the foot of the pass, has an ancient temple. 

But the main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 M). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Above Spangmik are the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Pangong range.

Pangong/Leh

After breakfast drive back to Leh taking the same route. On the way back visit Thiksey Monastery and  Sindhu Ghaat. Arrive Leh and relax at the hotel or free for individual activities.19 Kms from Leh, spectacularly sited, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite.

SINDHU GHAT: The Sindhu Ghat at Choglamsar village at the bank of River Indus has been inaugurated on the 1st of June 2001 by Hon’ble Minister for Home Shri L. K. Advani. Every year Sindhu festival is held on this bank of river, forges bonds of unity between communities. The festival is an ideal opportunity for travelers from all over the country and the world to visit this wonderful region and to savour its rugged beauty and charm.

Leh:-

Morning Relax at Hotel, Afternoon sightseeing of Leh City.

SANKAR GOMPA & VILLAGE : A relatively modern monastery, it is closely associated with the Spituk monastery and served as the residence of the late head priest-Kushak Bakula. A number of gold icons are to be found here.

SHANTI STUPA (Japanese Peace Pagoda) : Shanti Stupa/Japanese peace pagoda is build by a Japanese religious organization headed by Head monk Nakamura with the help from the organization and local people. It is situated at a hill top in Cahngspa village providing  a bird eye view of the Leh town and the surrounding mountain peaks. Architecturally it has the Japanese touch with small clean rooms on the side for meditators and the main Japanese shrine at the entrance.

LEH PALACE : The Namgyal Tsemo (victory Peak) was build by King Tashi Namgyal after the reunification of upper and lower Ladakh and victory over Hor and their bodies are placed under an image of Mahakala, the guardian deities to stop further invasion of Hor. The Leh palace known as 'Lechen Palkhar' was built by Singay Namgyal around in the beginning of 17th Century A.D. The nine-storied palace is now deserted, and the ASI (Archeological Survey Of India) has taken up the renovation work.

 Leh - Kargil

Today after an early breakfast, check-out and drive to Kargil. En-route visiting Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Confluence of Zanskar and Indus river, Alchi and Lamayuru monastery. Time free for leisure and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / Camp. 

MAGNETIC HILL :
 Defying the Law of gravity. This place is close to the Gurdwara Shri Patthar Sahib. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up-hill that’s the Believe it or not of Ladakh! 

GURDWARA SHRI PATTHAR SAHIB:
 The Shrine known as Gurdwara Patthar sahib is situated about 25 kms. Short of Leh town on the Leh-Srinagar road. Built in the everlasting memory of Shri Guru Nanak Deve Ji the great prophet who sanctified the place by his sacred visit during the year 1517 while on his second missionary tour (2nd Udassi 1515-1518). The Guru reached here via Nepal, Sikkim, Tibet Yarkand and Leh after having spiritual discourses with the sidhas at Mount Sumer (Central Himalayas). On the hill features across the road, there used to live a wicked demon that terrorized the people of the area. Their miseries multiplied day by day. 

The boulder having imprint of the Guru’s back is lying in the Gurdwara to this day. 

CONFLENCE OF THE ZANSKAR & INDUS :

LAMAYURU GOMPA: The oldest holy site in Ladakh, it was a bon shrine prior to the advent of Buddhism. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promontory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other Gompa can match Lamay.

 Kargil to Srinagar

Today after an early breakfast, check-out and drive to Srinagar. Past Baltal cross over Zoji-La Pass (11,500 ft) driving through the Drass valley with strikingly different landscape dotted with remote mud huts giving an impression that you really have traveled back in time. Lunch will be at midway (on own). Enroute stops also include Sonamarg and Baltal hamlets, famous for rugged snow peaked meadows. Drop to Houseboat / Hotel in Srinagar.

Srinagar - Jammu

Overnight Stay at Jammu.

Jammu To Chandigarh

After breakfast drive to Chandigarh , Drop at Chandigarh Airport .

Kufri -(Altitude 2622 m) known for its ski runs kufri. 16kms away from shimla, attracts the largest number of tourists who come toshimla it has a backdrop of peaks covered with snow.

Kufri Fun Campus - The famous tourist destination of Kufri will now have an added attraction with the opening of an amusement park having facilities for adventure sports (30 activities, including karting, adventure sports, indoor games, sky swinger (32 metres height), haunted house, 5-D theatre, frish bee ride, bungy ejection for adults, bungy trampoline, swing it ride, wave train for kids, mini skater, kangaroo jump, moon walker and striking car, etc). It will be opened on ‘World Tourism Day’ on 27th September.

Himalayan Nature Park - The Himalayan Nature Park in Kufri, one of the popular locations around Shimla, is located at a distance of 16 km. The site renowned for its ski slopes is a natural habitat of rich flora and fauna with about 140 species. Along with the park, the state government has set up a Potato Research Centre. Spread over an area of 90 hectares, the Himalayan Nature Park was set up in 1992. Visitors can also see Snow Leopard, Yak, Ghoral, Samber, Himalayan Thar and Black Bear in the zoo. Along with the zoo and nature park, tourists can also engage in horse riding.

Green Valley - Green Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Shimla. Noted for its elite beauty, this is a stopover on the way to Kufri from Shimla. The place is ideal for photographing as it offers some of the most mesmerizing sights that nature has to offer. The criss-crossed mountains seem to have been blanketed under carpets of greens and it is one of the most photographed sights in Shimla

Today morning after breakfast proceed towards half day city tour of Manali which includes-

1. Hadimba Devi Temple.- Manali has many attractions but the chief central of interest, historically and archaeologically, is undoubtedly the dungri temple dedicated to the goddess Hadimba , the Wife of Bheema of Mahabharata Fame, This is wooden temple, In the dense forest of magnificent deodar, is about 2.5 Kms from the Mall. It is a pleasant stroll to the temple which was built in 1553 A.D.

2. Vashisht(3.5 kms from Mall) Hot Sulphur Water springs - Renowned for its hot water and temples. The springs of Vashisht are believed to possess medicinal properties. The waters of the hot brooks are believed to heal skin diseases. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to vashisht Muni & lord Rama temple is also there.

3.Tibetan-Monastery (0.5 Kms) - This Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa dominates the Tibetan area around the bottom of the Mall in Manali. The Tibetan refugees built the Gompa in the late 1969. The main attraction of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery.

4.Club House (2 Kms from Mall) - Located on the left bank of Manalsu Nallah . . Club house is famous for a amusement activities like skating, Disco Theque etc. Club house is surrounded by various picnic spots. Later in the evening free to explore the Shopping Malls (Mall Road & IBEX Market) of Manali. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Manali town at an altitude of 4,111 meters (13,400 ft.) on the NH21 to Leh, is Rohtang Pass. Here one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendor. At the top of the Pass the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul Valley. Enroute visit Kothi Gorge, Gulaba, Rahala Falls, Marhi and Solang Valley and, enjoy skiing, paragliding and other adventurous activities (package does not include), Return to hotel by evening.
Gulaba Camp: 20 km from Manali, is this beautiful place famous for sightseeing, picnic and photography.
